Smooth walls are the foundation of everything

Uneven joints, holes and old repairs show through both paint and wallpaper. We fill and sand in several rounds until the wall is perfectly smooth.

If you are having wallpaper, we measure the pattern, cut cleanly and hang the lengths edge to edge, so the seams disappear.

Step 1Assessing the surfaces

We look at the walls in the right light and work out what it takes to get a perfectly smooth result.

The right level

We agree how smooth the wall needs to be, from ordinary rooms to surfaces with low-angled light and gloss paint. The more light that falls along the wall, the more the filling matters.
